Our Services
CRDT Services Limited is a company set up by social workers, foster carers and health practitioners. Our years of experience within the children and family social care department has led us to develop a distinct understanding of the needs of our clients. As a result we can effectively and efficiently support the needs of the children, families and Local Authorities.
CRDT working in partnership with the Local Authorities recognises its responsibility and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families. We value diversity and are committed to anti-discriminatory practice.
We are committed to a positive safeguarding culture in which professionals respect every individual’s human rights and diversity. We are committed to challenging inequality and discrimination in our practice.
Community-based Family Support
Supporting the family within a functioning placement
CRDT was established with a clear vision: to deliver holistic family support within the community, addressing practical, emotional, and developmental needs. Our services are designed to empower families facing challenges, offering early intervention that strengthens parenting capacity and promotes child wellbeing.
By working directly with families in their own environments, we help prevent escalation into more intensive services, reduce the risk of family breakdown, and support positive developmental outcomes for children. Our approach aligns with national priorities around early help and safeguarding, and is informed by evidence-based practice.
We collaborate closely with Local Authorities, schools, health professionals, and other community partners to ensure our support is integrated, responsive, and impactful. CRDT is committed to continuous improvement, using feedback and data to refine our services and demonstrate measurable outcomes—such as improved family functioning, increased school attendance, and reduced referrals to statutory services.
Foster Care
Supporting the foster carers / sustaining placements
CRDT offers dedicated support to foster carers who are navigating the challenges of caring for children with complex behaviours. Our goal is to prevent placement breakdown by providing tailored assistance that promotes stability, resilience, and continuity within the home.
By strengthening the placement environment, we help ensure that children in care have the opportunity to thrive, grow, and reach their full potential. Our approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a deep commitment to the wellbeing of both the child and the carer.
Edge of Care
CRDT is unwavering in its commitment to enhancing the lives of children who require support. Through early intervention and collaborative engagement with families, our support workers strive to create stable, nurturing environments that reduce the risk of children entering the care system. By working hand-in-hand with those at the heart of a child’s life, we aim to foster resilience, promote wellbeing, and safeguard brighter futures.
Supervised Contact
At CRDT, we are deeply committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of children and families through our trusted supervised contact services. Working in close partnership with Local Authorities, we provide skilled team members to oversee contact sessions—whether at designated centres or within the community. Our flexible approach allows us to support both long-term contracts and ad hoc needs with the same level of dedication and care.
Every contact session concludes with a detailed report, carefully reviewed and quality-assured by a qualified social worker before being shared with the appropriate professionals. Our team is not only highly trained but also receives regular supervision to ensure that every report reflects the highest standards of accuracy, insight, and professionalism.
Above all, we are a dependable partner—ready when needed, focused on outcomes, and driven by a shared mission to protect and empower the children and families we serve.

Our trained professionals offer support, guidance, and reassurance throughout the process, helping the child understand procedures, legal rights, and the implications of their situation.
By acting as a trusted advocate, our Appropriate Adults play a vital role in safeguarding the child’s welfare and ensuring their voice is heard during critical moments. We are committed to upholding dignity, promoting understanding, and supporting positive outcomes for every child in our care.
Welfare Checks
Welfare Visits
At CRDT, we understand the importance of safeguarding children and supporting families in times of need. Our Welfare Checks involve visiting the home to observe and assess the wellbeing of the child and their family. These visits help identify any concerns and provide clear, evidence-based insight into whether the living conditions are in the best interest of the child.
Out of Hours Support
Our dedicated Support Team operates 24/7, including evenings and weekends, to ensure that help is available whenever it’s needed most. Whether it’s a planned visit or an urgent request, we respond promptly—especially when resources are stretched—offering dependable support at a moment’s notice.
Welfare Reports
Following every welfare visit, CRDT Support Workers produce a detailed and professional report. Each report is comprehensive, covering all relevant observations and interactions, and is quality-assured by a qualified social worker before being shared with the appropriate parties. These reports provide a clear, independent picture of the child’s circumstances, supporting informed decision-making.
